[[Savage_X-COM | Back to Main Page]] Each character can take one of these actions during downtime periods between missions.<br> * Assist in Research: Make a science or academics check and select one of the fields being researched. Each success and raise adds +5 Research Points. * Assist in Engineering: Make a repair or electronics check and select an item with limited quantities available in X-COM’s armory. One more item will be available for the next deployment, with another one per raise. This increases to five and five for expendable items such as grenades. * Intelligence Deployment: Make a tradecraft or hacking check to help advance an ongoing X-INT operation. Each success and a raise made on supporting reduces the X-INT timer by 0. When it this 0, the intelligence operation is succesful. Sometimes, this will result in a new mission, sometimes it will provide other benefits. Each downtime session, all existing intelligence operations will decrement by 1d4 on their own. * Train teams: Make a Battle or Persuasion Check and select one of the NPC teams. If you succeed, they gain +1 XP, with another point gained for each raise. * Recovery: If badly wounded, you’ll need to spend a lot of time in the medical centre to recover from your injuries. Add +2 to the vigor check for long term healing. * R&R: Take some time off to relax and get your head in the game. Make a Gambling or Performance check. For each success and raise, one team member can take a bonus edge just for the next mission (does not stack for the indvidual, you can only gain a maximum of one bonus edge).
