<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:44:18)</font> Myllinnia: The morning dawn rises, breaking through your windows, through light and tattered curtains. Your beds are soft but not overly much and your rooms are quite spartan. But then, you all are blessed to have a room and food. Scarlet Ruby as usual walks the halls waking those that usually wake slowly.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:46:52)</font> Myllinnia: The temparture is warm and nice, while outside a gently window blows. Assuredly the farmers were already well awake, generaly doing so before the Sun rises. But at least the Hill is somewhat peaceful.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:47:19)</font> Gale is awake early, per usual. Writing of course in his journal. He's always an avid writer, and nods to Ruby when she goes to his door. "I'm awake, as usual." He says, his voice a bit confident, having shaken the grogginess out of himself.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:48:12)</font> Rai jumps to his feet with a call of "I didn't do it" before noticing that it's just Ruby. "Oh, 'morning."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:48:42)</font> Fox: "Good Morning."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:48:55)</font> Priide Kittee yawns loudly as Ruby knocks on her door. "Morning, mum." The teen calls out.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:49:56)</font> T`zaran: For once T`zaran has actually slept in; he's normally up at the same time as the farmers, or out with someone's livestock and not here at all. Scarlet Ruby doesn't have the opportunity to wake him, however, a cold, wet nose the moment she starts down the hall does that, and he lets out a yelp. "That's entirely unfair on a day that I get to sleep late," he scolds Eos, though the scritching she gets between the ears makes his true sentiments clear.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:51:44)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet Ruby gently smiles to you all as each answers in their own way. She laughs gently at T`zaran as he is awakened differently.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:52:23)</font> Myllinnia: "Good morning," she tells each of you, "Come to breakfast. Then those of you who have chores can go and do them."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:53:58)</font> Fox goes to breakfast with an appetite.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:54:30)</font> Myllinnia: After she has said this she turns, her waist length red hair gleaming in the sun as it sways behind her you can hear her heading down stairs to probably direct her personal cooks.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:56:23)</font> Gale: Gale nods and heads to the dining room, looking to see who else arrives for breakfast, with all the different orphans about.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:56:43)</font> Rai whistles out the window for his brother, before racing down the stairs, hungry as always.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:56:52)</font> Priide Kittee nods, walking downstairs after her adoptive mother.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 13:57:23)</font> T`zaran dresses in a hurry, the thought of breakfast speeding him on. "Good morning, ma'am." He ends up making it down the stairs not terribly long after Ruby. <br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:01:49)</font> Myllinnia: Ruby is dressed in what could be considered fine clothes but then she rarely wears anything other than this robe of red cloth. A golden sash wraps around her waist while a tiara sits on her brow.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:02:21)</font> Myllinnia: The kitchen is quite busy though a pair of women busily and seemingly pleasantly have been making warm meals these pass 16 years.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:03:20)</font> Fox: "Food!"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:04:29)</font> Myllinnia: The familiar wood table sits at the center of the dining room, and cushions sit on the floor. These cushions have been yours for for years, many of them showing the signs of wear.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:05:21)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet Ruby has her arms crossed as she watches the cooking and glances at the group of you as you settle down before your currently empty plates. A bowl sits at the center of the table with a group of shiny apples.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:05:49)</font> Gale: "Good morning Rai, Priide, T`zaran." Gale takes one of the apples, and takes a bite from it, grinning. "Did you all sleep well?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:06:21)</font> Priide Kittee nods, smiling at Gale. "Yes, thanks. You?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:06:25)</font> Rai: Like you wouldn't believe!<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:06:58)</font> Fox: I had nightmares again<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:07:20)</font> Gale: "I slept... Well." When Fox mentions nightmares, Gale gives a brief nod. He doesn't like talking about them, but he often has the same recurring one.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:07:20)</font> Myllinnia: Lilly, Gale's twin sister arrives rubbing the sleep from her eyes and gives Fox a concerned look before taking her place at the table.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:08:19)</font> T`zaran moves to take a seat on his cushion, Eos settling down behind him. Given that she's nearly as big as he is, she makes a rather fine (and furry) seat back...and it certainly doesn't displease her that she's well positioned to get her share of his breakfast. "Good morning, Gale, everyone. I slept well, yes."<br><br>

<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:10:32)</font> Priide Kittee nods, looking at Fox sympathetically.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:12:34)</font> Rai: So, anyone wanna bet me over today's chores? Double or nothing!<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:12:37)</font> Rai grins.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:14:45)</font> Priide Kittee snickers. "Sure, Rai. First person to name all the bones in the human body does no chores?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:16:11)</font> Rai: "Aww, that's not a game."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:16:27)</font> Rai: "Besides, no one'd know who won."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:16:38)</font> T`zaran laughs. "Not after the last time. I had the apple in my hand and you still ended up with it at the end."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:16:42)</font> Gale: "I'll take my usual chores, plus any people tend not to do.."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:17:58)</font> Rai smiles wryly at T`zaran, "I guess I shoulda saved that one for later, huh"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:20:15)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet chuckles and soon a steaming hot breakfast, followed by cups of water, a basket of freshly baked and sliced bread, and some cheese.<br><br>

<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:20:54)</font> Priide Kittee: (Heh.)<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:21:09)</font> Priide Kittee starts eating.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:21:58)</font> T`zaran: "Hey, it got you out of hauling all those bags of Sinal vine, didn't it? I swear, I couldn't smell anything else for a week. And Eos didn't want to come near me."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:23:16)</font> Gale: "Thats when you just wear disposable gloves and clothes, fully body. Unsavory but I think that should keep the smell out."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:23:30)</font> Gale: Gale starts eating as well, eating quietly and politely after giving thanks to the chef.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:24:23)</font> Rai has finished his meal almost as soon as it's set before him, and starts trying to cage seconds out of the serving people<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:25:17)</font> Myllinnia: One of them chuckle, the other shakes her head, but seconds does arrive. After all they know that you are growing.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:28:27)</font> T`zaran isn't quite so quick as Rai in finishing his meal even though he's got help. Eos is too large now to get a full meal in the house -- that'll come after they go hunting later in the morning -- but there are enough scraps that she gets a good snack from the cooks in addition to what she gets from him.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:30:09)</font> Myllinnia: Before long breakfast is done. And everyone is well ... decently fed. Some more than others perhaps. Scarlet Ruby as normal once Breakfast is done she nods to you as a group and heads outside.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:30:54)</font> Rai pockets a bread'n'cheese sandwich he constructed from his second helping for his brother, and heads outside.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:30:59)</font> Myllinnia: Likely the pile of dirty clothes that has been rising needs cleaning, repairs to some of the fences might need some attendance, and then of course some of you have your tutors in the village down the hill.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:36:17)</font> Myllinnia: Outside the familiar landscape of the Hill reminds you of many a day, cleaning rugs, washing clothes, training with Scarlet with the various weapons you have learned to use. The Hill is tall though, and a path weaves down the not so gentle slope.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:36:56)</font> Myllinnia: From where you stand outside of the two story ancient looking building you can see the Shadow Forest, and the village of Caradeen below, some of you can make out the farmers hard at work upon the fields.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:36:57)</font> T`zaran: Today, for T`zaran, it's errands for Eloria. He always enjoys those, since they generally involve heading out for long trips into the woods to fetch various plants that she needs for cures -- he never needs an excuse to head out into the woods, and particularly enjoys playing some small role in making people better.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:38:45)</font> Gale'll work with the clothes, figuring that he should at least ensure everyone has good clothing. He knows his sister would already be off with her tutors, Lilly being the more studious one of the two.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:39:16)</font> Priide Kittee accompanies T`zaran. The herbs the sixteen year old girl has to fetch might be different, but if they work together they can likely get their tasks done faster.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:39:34)</font> Rai heads to class. You can fool teachers, but you can't fool fences.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:40:23)</font> Myllinnia: Lilly indeed starts her way down the path waving to Gale as she goes.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:40:55)</font> Gale: He waves back. "Tell my tutors i'll be a bit late, chores!"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:41:22)</font> Fox is inexpert but willing to learn mending fences.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:45:24)</font> Myllinnia: Its not long, with everyone heading to their various places. As some of you look beyond the Hill many of you see a pillar of smoke starting to rise from the heart of Shadow Forest. Some of you remember that the Caravan is making its bi yearly trip to the village this day.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:46:40)</font> Fox: "Sweet."
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:49:49)</font> T`zaran waits for Kittee before setting out. Despite his chatter at breakfast, he's much quieter as the two of them head off toward the Shadow Forest. "So, um, what are you looking forward to most? When the caravan comes, I mean."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:52:38)</font> Priide Kittee smiles at T`zaran, but then glances at the Forest. "Um. Should we go and alert the guards?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:53:27)</font> Rai double takes at the smoke "School will have to wait, c'mon bro, lets go take a look!", mounting his brother after he reverts to his natural form.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:54:24)</font> T`zaran frowns at the sight of the smoke. "We probably should. And then we should go see if they need help."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:54:51)</font> Priide Kittee nods. "Agreed."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:55:00)</font> Fox: "Yep."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:55:35)</font> Gale: "Mm... that smokes not right..." Grabbing his buff jacket and blade, Gale looks for the others. "Hey! you all see the smoke?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:56:51)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet Ruby frowns as she looks at the smoke. "I shall go and check it out." And she starts to run down the path.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:57:10)</font> Fox follows Ruby.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:57:23)</font> Priide Kittee blinks, then takes off after Scarlet.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 14:58:26)</font> T`zaran follows suit, while Eos lopes along at what is (to her) a leisurely pace alongside the running humans.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:00:12)</font> Gale follows, putting on the jacket and trying his best to look like a proper soldier as he follows the others, giving them a small nod.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:05:07)</font> Myllinnia: Once Scarlet reaches the entrance to the Village from the hill she grabs one of the guards standing there and he quickly dashes off to the Council Building at the heart of the village while Scarlet moves towards the Village's Front Gate.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:08:56)</font> Priide Kittee follows Scarlet. "Mum? Do... Do you think it's the Empress' forces?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:09:40)</font> Myllinnia: "It might be," the woman says. "Might be just a scout.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:09:49)</font> Gale: "Can't be them, this place would be swarming..."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:12:11)</font> T`zaran looks worriedly between Kittee and Ruby, not sure what to think. If it was something that could overwhelm the defenses in the forest, that was reason enough to be concerned.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:13:38)</font> Fox: "Whatever it is we need to find out."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:13:57)</font> Priide Kittee nods, looking worried.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:15:42)</font> Myllinnia: With Scarlet you come to the gates, looking pass the rows of farm land to the forest across the way. From the sky Rai does note that the smoke does move towards the farmlands and sometimes he can see tongues of fire deep in there. The Forest itself makes harsh sounds.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:17:27)</font> Gale: "I think we should investigate..."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:20:06)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet raises her hand indicating that you should go pass the gates. Already you can several of the farmer Families turning their attention to the forest. Its not long though before the every familiar Caravan bursts from the forest.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:21:42)</font> Priide Kittee blinks. "I'm going to go and get my kit from Eloria's."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:21:45)</font> T`zaran: "Let's hope they know what's happened..."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:22:09)</font> Myllinnia: The three squat vehicles drawn by horses race down the dirt road, the rear most one burning as they go.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:25:17)</font> Gale: Gale waits to see if anything follows the caravans, his blade ready in case there is any sort of trouble.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:26:44)</font> Rai wheels around, heading back to the well, and grabbing some buckets of water, hoping to put out the fire<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:33:48)</font> Myllinnia: The caravans come to a screeching halt as men and women with spears and swords come to the road's center facing the forest.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:35:11)</font> Gale: Gale reaffirms the grip on his blade, getting out his shield... "Guys, look, over there..." he points to the demon calmly.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:35:13)</font> Myllinnia: And water is grabbed by Rai, as several of the members of the farmer families do the same racing to put out the caravan.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:35:48)</font> T`zaran moves to help calm the horses and get them back under control, since he's entirely oblivious to the creature in the woods.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:37:37)</font> Priide Kittee runs to Eloria's house, grabs her first aid kit and returns quickly.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:37:42)</font> Rai, noticing the creature in the woods lobs the buckets full of water at it, bellowing out a warcry along with his brother as he pulls out a sling.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:40:48)</font> Myllinnia: Noticing Rai it dashes back into the forest.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:41:26)</font> Gale: "What was that thing?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:41:44)</font> Rai: "Afraid of me!"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:41:48)</font> Priide Kittee looks troubled. "Nothing good, I wager."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:41:49)</font> Rai flexes.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:41:58)</font> Gale: "I think it was a scout."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:42:00)</font> Priide Kittee rolls her eyes.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:42:09)</font> T`zaran: "What thing?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:43:08)</font> Gale: "You didn't see it?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:43:29)</font> Rai: "Black shadowy thing, lit up eyes. Me and Ari scared it off."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:45:05)</font> T`zaran:shakes his head. "I was looking that way, and didn't see a thing. That's why I went to calm down the horses."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:48:12)</font> Gale: "It looked like a demon, or some sort of foul creature."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:48:21)</font> Priide Kittee nods.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:51:15)</font> T`zaran blinks. "Then I'm glad it ran away instead of fighting. I know enough about demons to know that they're strong."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:51:31)</font> T`zaran: "Or, well, many of them are."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:51:34)</font> Rai: "Ari and I are strong!"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:53:57)</font> Gale: "I wouldn't be so overconfident, Rai. That thing could just be getting more of its brethren, we should be worried."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 15:54:30)</font> Rai: "We'll take care of those too! Right, Matron?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:02:40)</font> Myllinnia: Scarlet shakes her head as looks to the the group. She then turns to Traider Xe who shakes his at her silently. She takes him aside and they start to talk.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:02:58)</font> Priide Kittee looks worried. "This is bad."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:03:56)</font> Gale: "Auspicious at best."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:05:29)</font> T`zaran swallows, looking between Kittee and Scarlet Ruby worridly.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:07:38)</font> Myllinnia: After a bit Scarlet Ruby returns and smiles gently. "Return to your chores, and no staying at the Tavern for long. I know how some of you like hearing foolish stories. Do not leave the village. Is that clear?" She especially looks to Rai who can fly over the dangerous forest."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:08:26)</font> Priide Kittee nods slowly. "Yes, mum."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:08:35)</font> Fox: "OK."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:08:57)</font> Rai whistles and looks away, but after a while grudgingly mumbles something that sounds like it's likely to be some sort of a yes-like statement<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:10:21)</font> Myllinnia: She gives a sigh of relief. Now get going. I'll help Trader Xe with his caravan." With that she goes to talk with one of the Illumin farmer family members.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:10:24)</font> Gale: "No leaving the village, Understood."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:10:50)</font> T`zaran: "What about Eos? She's got to hunt." And, well, the forest is almost as much home as the village is.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:11:18)</font> Priide Kittee looks around her fellow orphans. "Is it just me, or is mum acting strange all of a sudden?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:11:29)</font> Myllinnia: She stops and turns. "Do not enter the forest this day. Eos can do with normal food this day." She continues on.<br><br>

<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:12:24)</font> Fox: I haven't known her as long as you. Why do you think that?<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:13:15)</font> Gale: "She always acts strange." Gale says with a smile.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:13:24)</font> Gale: "You only now notice? I thought you were the smart girl."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:13:40)</font> Priide Kittee: "She's normally more willing to trust us, that's all." Kittee looks troubled. "Here's hoping that demon thing was just a one-off."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:14:26)</font> T`zaran frowns, but nods his consent. "Could you tell what kind it was? That might tell us why she was so worried."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:14:46)</font> Rai: Now, was that the kind of promise that's good for us to break, or the kind we get in trouble for breaking...<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:15:24)</font> Gale: "The latter, if I am correct... When Ruby forbids something like that, I think she means it."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:15:29)</font> Priide Kittee nods.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:16:21)</font> Rai: "Yeah, I was afraid of that."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:19:45)</font> Gale: We should wait and see what Ruby and the elders decide, before doing anything rash."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:21:17)</font> Myllinnia: A group of men and women from the farmer families head off towards the forest suddenly looking quite grim. Scarlet continues to talk with one of the older men as they watch those sent go.<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:23:47)</font> Rai: "So........"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:23:53)</font> Rai: "Now what?"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:24:24)</font> Priide Kittee: "Now we do chores inside the village. And we wait."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:24:32)</font> T`zaran: "Good question. Kittee and I can't do the chores we needed to without going into the woods."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:24:49)</font> Rai: I can't do chores at *all* when I'm missing the excitement<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:29:26)</font> Gale: "I don't think those chores are necessary right now."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:29:43)</font> Gale: "Let's just do the chores needed inside the town, and try and listen in on whats going on."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:31:27)</font> Priide Kittee nods. "Agreed."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:31:37)</font> T`zaran: "You're probably right. Besides, some of the farmers went out into the woods. We need to be ready to help if any of them come back hurt."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:32:50)</font> Rai: "I don't know anything about that..."<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:34:27)</font> Rai: "Though actually, I bet I know where we can find some really good medicine!"<br><br>

<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:35:09)</font> Rai: "Yeah, I mean, Ruby knows everything about everything, she's got to have special medical supplies locked away!"<br><br>
<font size="2">(12/11/09 16:36:23)</font> Priide Kittee: "...I don't think that's a good idea, Rai." She deliberately doesn't mention the fact that Eloria is more likely to be the one with unusual medical equipment.<br><br>
