=Grey - Ritual Magic=

==Known Rituals and Foci==
Grey normally carries the Horn-Rimmed Aura Glasses and a few Leaf on the Wind pages with him.  His other foci are kept at his abode, unless otherwise stated.

===Leaf On The Wind===
A piece of [https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Paper-at-Home handmade paper] is prepared with a series of runes around the outer margin, with plenty of space left to write a message.  A single drop of blood activates the runes, rendering them invisible to the human eye.  This primes the paper to travel to a specific individual of Grey's choice.  By wadding up the paper and throwing it away like trash, the document is fated to be received by the target.  It will drift through city streets from errant drafts, get stuck to shoes or clothing, and otherwise make its way through coincidental means to the targeted individual while remaining intact.  Once it arrives, the individual will notice the piece of wadded paper stands out in some fashion, and be subtly encouraged to pick it up and read it.  Once read by the intended target, the magic fades and the runes disappear completely.  Grey normally keeps multiple copies of the ritual paper on his person so he can send messages at a moment's notice.

===Pieces of the Whole===
Grey often ends up with items that need to be repaired - especially clothing.  As a result, he devised a ritual of renewal that repairs tears and breaks in physical objects.  The ritual requires sufficient spare material to fill any lost portions, which is why Grey typically buys two or three sets of everything he wears and sets one aside for purposes of this ritual.  The ritual also purges the item of extraneous matter such as dirt or blood.

===Dowsing Pendant===
This golden pendant with silver Egyptian runes is primed to sense leyline energies, which can be difficult to pinpoint in areas with multiple leylines or other strong magical sources.  The color of the runes change based on the type and number of leylines detected, and the pendant has a slight tug towards the closest leyline.  Grey doesn't need this very often, and typically keeps it in a safety deposit box at his bank.

===Horn-Rimmed Aura Glasses===
These glasses have a frame made from the shell of an Egyptian tortoise.  The glasses can be activated to view the auras of supernatural creatures and areas, and they are designed specifically to filter out leyline energy that would obscure other auras.  The gold filigree on the inside of the frame fades as the glasses use up the magical energy powering the lenses.  The glasses are designed to recharge naturally from leyline energy.  However, even when is standing on a landline the charge rate is not sufficient to compensate for the drain of use.  Grey typically keeps the glasses in a suit pocket so they are quickly accessible.

===Rod of Denial===
This small ivory rod is hollow, containing numerous items of opposite nature bound together (honey and vinegar, lead and gold, etc).  It is a foci for Might of the Eternal, enhancing Grey's ability to bar the passage of another.  The components inside the rod are consumed upon use and must be replaced.  The rod is typically stored in a safe in his abode.

===Chains of Binding===
This set of silver chains are designed to wrap around a specified target on command, binding it and limiting any capability for shapeshifting.  Grey normally hides the chains nearby and uses them when his target's attention is elsewhere.  The binding effect is enhanced if the chain is prepared with ritual components that are a bane to the target.

==Ritual Site==
Grey has set up a ritual site located in a small warehouse overlooking the river.  The site includes several elements for facilitating rituals, and multiple mystic defenses powered by the leyline that runs through the site.

===Perimeter Wards===
The entire area of the warehouse is warded against any non-Eternal supernatural.  A creature that receives a formal invite from Grey receives a temporary exemption from the effect of the wards for the duration of their stay.  Creatures affected by the wards feel a constant pressure pushing them away, which becomes stronger the closer they get to the focal point of the warding (the mystic circle in the center of the building).  This pressure has a slight visual display that can be noticed by anyone looking for it.

===Mystic Circle===

The center of the warehouse has a false section of floor that can be moved to reveal a golden annulus underneath.  This is a 10 foot diameter ring of gold with inlaid silver ruins, set into the concrete of the foundation.  This mystic circle constantly draws from the local leyline to power the warehouse wards, and also serves as a focal point for rituals Grey performs here.  The value of the precious metals exceeds the entire cost of the warehouse, and Grey normally keeps it hidden.

===Grounding Link===

In emergencies, Grey can activate a direct link between the mystic circle and the running water of the river below, grounding out all active magical energies in the area, and having a short-term effect on the leyline itself.  This immediately disables the perimeter wards for the remainder of the scene.
