This is the wiki page for Sidewise LLC, a Play-by-Post in planning, that will be run on the rpg.net PbP forum. I'm Funkadelic, the GM. We're at barebones right now, but more will be added as things get rolling.


== Introduction ==

The multiverse is widely considered to exist, but easy, simple and controllable multiversal travel is unknown and genuinely thought to be impossible. Somehow Sidewise LLC has a portal that does just that, and a way to find alternate Earths. They’re using this technology to secretly help out other Earths and their own. And make a reasonable profit where they can. 

However, they need people. People they can trust enough to not let the secret of multiversal travel spread out to this Earth or others. The founders of Sidewise believe this would be bad, as people less scrupulous than them would use the technology for evil. Keeping this in mind they opererate under the following rules:

1. Keep The Secret<br>
1a. Do not reveal the multiverse to Earth’s unaware of it.<br>
1b. If an Earth is aware of the multiverse, do not reveal you are multiversal travelers.<br>
1c. If it is revealed you are multiversal travelers, keep details of our Earth secret.	<br>

2. The is no “true” Earth. Each Earth’s history and physics are correct for that Earth.<br>
2a. Similarly, while individuals may be very similar to people we know from our Earth, they are their own people and completely separate from the ones we know.<br>
2b. Other Earths have no bearing on our Earth of the people living on it.<br>

3. The multiverse is infinite. <br>
3a. Yes, there is an Earth where “x” happened. Yeah even that.<br>
3b. We make a difference where we can, despite this.<br>
3c. Our work is done carefully with foresight, so we don’t destabilize the multiverse<br>
3d. It is often best not to think about it too much.<br>
