One day Sjachi woke up. Period. Dot. End of sentence.


Essentially he has no idea who or what he was. No weird dreams. No sights, sounds, smells, etc. that set off a feeling. Not even items or clothing with him that could give a useless clue. Nothing. Matters weren't helped when he soon met a senile old man who taught him how to bind beings from outside everything. Sjachi thought that these "vestiges" would be able to answer his questions. Instead they constantly remark upon things Sjachi experiences with comments that can't possibly be related to his current world. (Unlike other binders Sjachi can hear the mental voices of all possible vestiges at once.)


But true to his easygoing nature Sjachi follows what they say in the hopes that they know something he doesn't. After a while it has become clear to him that the world is following a "plotline" directed by beings even beyond the vestiges ability to experience.
