Husband of Holly Dangerous, Hank is a gifted engineer with a passionate and consuming love for vintage motor cars. He pretty much designed the crews' rocket ship from scratch - and he's going to make damn sure it stays in (mostly) one piece.

Wife of Hank Dangerous, Holly is not only a beautiful young woman, but a brilliant scientist to boot, one with a fascination with space and the possibility of discovering intelligent life beyond the stars. She just hopes that she can make meaningful contact - before Captain Butler shoots (or seduces) it.

While Hank and Harvey Dangerous never had any children of their own, they both consider Harvey to be the next best thing. A surprisingly intelligent chimpanzee, Harvey serves as Holly's lab assistant and just generally serves to annoy Hank. Who knows what effects the Slipstream will have on this wily ape....

However, what hidden directives lurk within the robot's complex circuitry?

Assigned to the mission as official liason for the US Military, Captain Roy Butler is on hand to ensure that whatever threat the black hole poses to American interests, he'll be on hand to shoot first and ask questions later. A handsome man (and he knows it), his quick smile can be just as effective as his years of military training.
