== Appearance ==

A white haired young man that suspiciously resembles Captain Thunder.  Jerry Rocket (his real name) is reasonably good looking but has a Xander-like quality of making a complete dork of himself in any given situation.  Jerry is a member of the Next Generation but one of their least successful.

== Personality ==

Jerry is a nice enough guy, he just has no control over his horomones and his interests are totally in getting rid of his serious virginity "problem."  Jerry believes it his destiny to be a world-class super hero but while he's been on most of the Next Generations missions, they mostly involve screwing up to various degrees.  Oddly, he's best friends with Ghost Girl but is completely unable to see her as a woman.

It may be genetic.

== Powers ==

Extremely fast, just not nearly as fast as his Uncle.  Speedy hopes his powers will increase, but unfortunately he's so far stuck being only a mid-range metaman when he wanted to be one of the world's "Big Guns."

== Background ==

Jerry Rocket is the son of Johnny Rocket's sister, who went and got married to Astro Labs Doctor Jerimiah Rocket.  Jerry Rocket has an older sister in Jonni Rocket, who has gone on to have a fairly successful career herself as a super hero.  Unfortunately, Jerry's powers are a great deal milder than the rest of his family and he's gone to the Claremont Academy to hone them.

Taking the imaginative code name, Speedy, Jerry has become incredibly infatuated with Black Cherry (along with just about every other attractive woman on campus).  He's done fairly well in Lucien's super heroing classes but he's got serious attention span issues that have prevented him from excelling.

Due to bizarre events that are too difficult to describe without him sounding like a complete dork, most of the female student body thinks Speedy is gay.  He encourages this in hopes of being invited to slumber parties.  Desert Wasp is horrified by this even if he understands that Jerry isn't trying to be insulting.

== Continuity Notes ==

"Speedy" is actually this universe's version of Bolt despite references to Ray Gardener Junior before in continuity.  In this universe, Ray Gardener Junior doesn't have any powers and has gone on to live a fairly normal life.  Speedy has the same stats as Bolt and is allowed to go on missions with the Next Generation, which he hopes will allow him to pick up chicks.  So far, hasn't worked out much.
