The loss of the Vulcan people has devastated the Federation politically and economically but it's also made the people lose faith in the Federation and what it stands for. Now many member world's are all considering leaving the Federation all together! Old ships are being pulled out of mothballs and pressed into service. Crewmen too are being dragged out of retirement or promoted younger then ever before.
