He proudly wears the "Wings" logo on his helmet, but is still shy and quiet in person.  He lost both his parents (Mom in Iraq and dad in Afganistan) recently and and while he acts as if nothing happened, he hasn't gotten over it or even dealt with it.  He tend to keeps everything bottled inside.

Far from a dumb jock, he is bright and his schedule is filled with honors classes in which he excells. Granted this is due more to determined hard work than genius. Also his innate sense of tactics has already caught the attention of several college football scouts. Between study, sports, and work,  he has little free time, and he is happy with that.  It gives him less time to mope. He is naturally competative, and it irks him he can't compete on Victor and Tony's level.

While his parents were on detachment he was left in the care of his parents friends the Barnes, who are current acting as his foster parents.  Steve saved from thier son James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes from being hit by a car a couple years back, and idolizes Steve.  The Barnes try to do what they can for Steve, and worry that beneath his  facade is hiding a little boy who lost his mom and dad.

Steve is currently on a scholarship to Pegasus Academy.
