Stevens Corporation was founded by two best friends, Lord Robert Stevens and Charles Langdon in 1895. They started to explore mining opportunites in foreign lands, gathering up raw materials and then bringing them back to England to be processed. Robert using his political ties got small goverment contracts where the processed materials would then be used in the building of govermental buildings and structures. When Robert suddenly passed in 1908, Charles took over the coporation and ran it the best he could. Continueing to profit from the goverment contracts and venturing into the new airplane business. On a trip back to Africa with John Stevens and Amanda in 1919, they soon found where John was raised. John vaguely remembering the area lead the small family to the deposit of Steviomum. Seeing the material in the ground, untouched by human hands, Charles immediatly had a thought, why not mine the material and sell it to the goverment. Charles went to the local goverment and bought up as much of the land as possible, and then started to mine the Steviomum out of the ground. John Stevens made sure that tradition methods were used in the mining of the materials and not the strip mining that his Godfather used in other factory mines. He also made sure that the local villages were treated very well, and paid better, that schools and buildings were built for them to help them prosper and create loyalty. The combination of Charles business sense and John's passion for equality have lead Stevens Corporation to the height of its existance, with new products being developed like Nutriwheat in the pipeline, the road is bright for the company. ---- [[Terra Occulta]]
