''Generations ago, a great disaster devastated the world, irradiating the land and causing the sea to rise, but it is only remembered in songs and stories. In the many years since, civilization has become coastal, resting both in the ruins of once proud cities or in scratch-built shanty towns; some even live on the water in flotillas or the rusting wrecks of ancient ships. Life on the Eastern Coast is feudal, with warlords and pirate gangs always seeking to expand their empires.'' ''You could scavenge, searching the ruined and flooded cities for lost technology. You could sing, gathering a band of like-minded lunatics to troubadour, spreading your gospel across the Coast. You could raid and pillage, bringing settlements to their knees for food, gas and bullets.'' ''But you're gonna have to survive.'' Stray Dogs is an unofficial setting for Savage Worlds and Pirates of the Spanish Main combining the high adventure of 17th century swashbuckling with the gritty jury-rigged sensibilities of a Road Warrior-esque post-apocalypse and screamed at the top of your lungs over three chords and an accordion. The world of Stray Dogs is heavily influenced by all varieties of punk music, D.I.Y. culture and my own experiences of punk scenes and living in housing and dining co-ops. This page is designed as a central location for all the assorted setting and mechanical information that I've been cooking up as of recent, as well as a potential precursor to a campaign setting PDF. == Table of Contents == I.
