== Background ==
Human father, Vulcan mother, both Starfleet officers killed aboard the same ship in the (first) war with the Cardassians when she was 3, raised by her human grandparents in Matsuzaki, Japan

Culturally an Earthling, barely any contact with the Vulcan side of her family who wanted nothing to do with her father

Eschews Vulcan asceticism, but uses some meditation techniques to keep even-keeled

Married to Kerani after a long rom-com-worthy courtship (see her backstory); considering their first child together

Had offers to join professional racing leagues if she hadn’t gone to the Academy

Used to change her hair color monthly, now more like every few months

If she ever joins the team in the field, she’ll be carrying an heirloom mek’leth of House Kruge, which she ‘traded’ with a Klingon captain during the conflict of 2372 - he left it in her lung, and she left an antique katana in his hearts.
