Tall, handsome and smiling, Alex gives the initial impression of a charming if somewhat vapid young man, perhaps even a bit on the dim side.That impression is generally dispelled once he’s persuaded to take a matter seriously. To be fair, that can take quite a bit of persuading.

Alexander Prescott III ("Alex, please. We're friends, aren't we?") has family money sufficient to support a life of aimless travel and wine, women and song. He's more than happy to explain he was given an allowance and oh-so-politely asked not to return home thanks to his inability to take the family business seriously and a scandal involving a woman, or women, something like that...well, more a combination of a sharp mind and an itchy conscience, the kind that won’t let you get comfortable until you scratch it. Scratching that itch made him unwelcome in his family’s social circle and has continued to get him into trouble. Well, the wine, women and song have contributed. <br>
 
Sometimes he’s found himself in trouble deep enough that even his considerable gift of gab didn’t suffice to get him out. As a result, he's developed a somewhat unexpected assortment of skills, and a knack for making himself useful to folks who can handle the rougher stuff...
