Back to [[Tales_of_Perpetual_Peace|Main Page]] ===Advancement=== *Destiny is awarded between chapters, at movie (3x base) pace. *Deeds are awarded within play, at novel (2x base) pace. *Each player may be awarded up to three Deeds per chapter, and each player may award up to two Deeds to another player. *The Wulin Sage may give lesser awards, usually in the form of Joss or small amounts of Entanglement, for entertaining player actions or important plot developments that don't rise to the level of Deeds. ===Initiative=== *Initiative rolls are treated as Opposed for the purposes of Joss and the River. **Malicious Joss counts as Xia Joss for Initiative; i.e. it increases your Lake by 1 rather than diminishing your opponents' Lakes. ===Marvels=== *Where narratively appropriate, and at the Sage's discretion, a particular Disrupt or (especially) a Disorient Marvel may be defended ''only'' by a particular Skill. ===Chi=== * Elemental Chi does '''not''' count toward Chi Threshold ===Secret Arts=== * If you fail to Resist a Discovery roll, you may not make your first Recovery roll against a Chi Condition until the scene in which it was Discovered has been completed. ===Minions and Lesser Legends=== * For every +10 by which an attacker's Damage modifier exceeds the Toughness of a Minion unit or Lesser Legend, a successful strike will inflict an additional Ripple. * Lesser Legends suffer an across-the-board -5 Action Penalty when reduced to half their Ripple total; the penalty increases to -10 when reduced to 1/3 (rounding down) their Ripple total.
