Ted Sprangler is bookish-looking young man in his early twenties. Besides his odd clothing and thick round glasses covering his face, there's nothing much in particular about him. He keeps his long brown hair in a knot and wears a big strawhat, which shades his brown eyes, which are covered by a pair of big, round glasses worn by age, with small cracks on the sides. He's usually squinting through them, as if they haven't been adequately adapted for his poor eyesight. His clothes is a sorry story of mismatch, patches and old fabric, which he covers with a far to big leather coat, which seem to have seen its fair share of adventures in its days. Including dragon's breath.

He would be the archetypal scholar, but he's not. Sure, he's curious about the world, but he's also extroverted and loud, and somewhat of a jerk sometimes. Ted tries his best to be polite and sympathic to other people, but somewhere, there's a fundamental flaw that makes him slightly egoistic and self-centered. He's aware of this though, which ends up with him constantly self-scrutinizing in search of flaws, which he will immediately admit if confronted about them. If he haven't spotted them yet, he'll probably thank you for bringing them up. This just ends up with making him even more annoying, as people seem to be frustrated by his lack of self-esteem, even though his brimming with arrogance. To make matters worse, he often have a tendency to lightheartedly mock other people in a friendly manner.

Exactly who he is, and why he's following Varash Sverrgrit is completely unknown, as his magical skills. It's kinda weird actually, that two so strong guys would just pop up from nowhere. Ted seems to take it with a stride though, and he takes great delight in finding out new stuff about the world.

What nearly no one knows though is that Ted is an immortal regenerator (or actually, reshaper, but never mind that) created by Mordain the Fleshweaver for about 200 years ago, while he was one of the wizard's many apprentices. The immortality had a side-effect though. It's as they say, with great power comes great insanity. Ted suffers from bipolarity at the best of days, and is forced to control his mood curves with Dreamlily pills he manufactures himself. Without the pills, he might break down into a psychosis.

Currently, he works as a teacher in Saint Marie's School, mostly because Varash forced him too.
