The previous house rules for unconsciousness and dying have been superseded by the Pathfinder, which were very similar in nature.

Characters die at negative hit points equal to their constitution score, plus one point per hit die. In place of the flat 10%/round stabilization chance, characters make a fortitude with a DC of 12 + your negative HP total.
