Editing Terents Killian

A player character in the play-by-post game [[Rogue Trader: Conquest of Paradise]].

<U>Appearance</U><br>
Dyed hair (currently blue-black), cut spikey and long enough to get into his eyes, but too carefully shellacked to actually do that. Terents has spiky anime hair that is somehow always perfectly tousled (actually he has a personal hairdresser). Terents appears far younger than his real age - perhaps 30 - due to expensive juvenat treatments. He is still quite handsome even with the the dueling scars he refuses to have removed from his face. His mechanical heart - a low grade Imperial Guard version bolted onto his chest - always announces the start of a rant with a whirring as the blood flow picks up. Rumor is he was shot through the heart and survived. He is usually seen in his Princeps uniform while on duty.He wears a Ceres pattern bolt pistol hanging from a strap on his right, always loaded with incendiary bolt shells, and a power maul in a leather sheath on his left.

<U>Demeanor</U><br>
Somewhat notorious for a short temper, Terents can come across at times as somewhat bipolar - although this is more of him being an adrenaline addict (and thus easily bored). None of the players will know this, but Terents isn't particularly strong-willed (well, they might surmise that), and thus was far along towards being fully dependant on his communion with his Warlord Titan's machine spirit. His separation from it torments him endlessly.

Junior augur lieutenant - "Their weapons will be down in a moment, sir." Terents - "Ready the teleporter!" Lieutentant - "Sir, there is no teleporter onboard...?" Terents - "*swears* Then ready the damn boarding shuttle. I want to shoot them in the face."<br>
Terents - "Ready my *makes a pained look* sentinel walker."<br>
Terents - "What would Auntie Mathilda say? Of course, she is practically a chaos worshipper...but still."<br>
Terents - after a big feast - announces "I think I shall go purge the unclean on the golden throne." Confessor - blanches, shocked. Terents - rolls his eyes.<br>
Tech Priest - "You will anger the machine spirit!" Terents - "Fuck the machine spirit!" Punches the console repeatedly. Plugs in his MIU "Feel that? I will fuck you up!"<br>


<U>History</U>
An illegitimate son of Stanislav Jurgen Sturmvoraus von Wulfenbach and Karleya Killian, a daughter of Terents Virgil Killian VIII (Terents' grandfather), prime minister and imperial governor of Killianus Magna and also head of the darkly muttered about Killian House of Killianus Magna. Terents's beginnings, although perhaps not as auspicious as they could be - he is still a noble on both sides. His father recognized him but did not legitimize him, so he has no claim to the warrant. His position as a bastard actually lent him a large amount of freedom in his youth, which he sucked the marrow right out of. He maintains he has no chip on his shoulder about it, and that he is actually rather relieved he dodged the dynastic bullet. After a decade as a wastrel noble youth with only a reputation as a dangerous pistol dueller - even while drunk to the gills - to show for it , Terents decided to join the military on a whim. His family on the Killian side had ancient ties with the Mechanicus, and prodigious connections from his father's, so much to his surprise he found himself four years later a Princeps of a Warlord Titan of the Legio Venator. Terents slowly built up a reputation as a Titan gunnery commander that was unmatched in the subsector.

When his father died and he was recalled for the requisite mourning and inevitable maneuvering the Killians were putting in behind the scenes to have him legitimized. His half-sister was duly made the proper Dynast, although Terents' bungling Killian relatives only succeeded in securing him the position as a newly minted Lt. Commander, Gunnery Voidmaster - the better for them to keep an eye on him. Reluctantly Terents obeyed the wishes of the Dynasty, torn to be taken from what he considers his true calling.

<U>Family Allies and Enemies</U>
The Kiliians are friends of the Magos of the most important forge worlds of the sector, but they are staunch enemies of house Nomencreed, whom the Killians view as cronies of the Sector Lord.
