I know it's been a long time. I wanted to let you know what has been happening with me, in case it matters.
 
During, or shortly after, my stay in New York City, I suffered from an attack of some sort. It may have been something as simple as a sharp blow to the head or potentiallly something more complex like a psychic assault by a sorceror or somesuch. I can't recall. I became terribly ill. Subsequently, a substantial portion of my memory was damaged (several months largely eradicated). My physical health has been shaky and my mental health has been erratic, though this may simply be due to repeated contact with Outside sources.
 
It is my hope that I'm in the process of recovering. Certainly, a few of the affected memories are returning.
 
I recall when we first met. I was a dishevelled mess and you were so calm and professional. Like most things, my memory of what we talked about is a bit hazy, but I remember, after leaving, how much I wanted to see you again.
 
I also recall meeting you in your office the night of the opera. There was a moment ... you'd turned to pick up your purse, and I felt so nervous and happy.
 
I just wanted to let you know that despite all that has happened, I'm still thinking about you.
