The bunker started out as a military ground to space defense silo. It was about half completed before it was deemed to be outdated and a waste of money. If was bought by a group of citizens that decided to turn it into a sanctuary incase of a planetary wide disaster. You and your parents/friends/guardians have spent the last year in here before the decision to put some of the residents in cold sleep to reduce the amount of supplies used.
