Jokun: Earth elemental warriors and guardians. They look like fierce, fair-skinned and obsidian-eyed warriors that are servants in the mineral courts. The masters of the elemental courts pay them little attention. The four elementals that [[Rivers Between Us]] keeps as his guard have all been named. This has given them a tremendous boost to their personal ego. '''[[Root of the East]]''': This is Rivers' personal bodyguard and trusted adviser. Root of the East is privy to Rivers' plans and serves as his personal assistant. Root of the East is capable of subtle understandings. '''[[Mountain's Shadow]]''': This jokun is slightly taller than the others, and tends to be the most taciturn (with mortals). He serves as the overseer and foreman for Rivers' projects where he uses non-human labor. He is doggedly persistent in his work. '''[[Secret Avalanche]]''': Secret Avalanche dresses in mortal clothing, including a broad hat and heavy gloves. This jokun serves as Rivers' scout and messenger. He knows the Murakan range quite well by now, and while he is not particularly stealthy, he is the most adept at passing as 'humanlike' and understanding their motivations. '''[[Obsidian Vigil]]''': Obsidian Vigil is Rivers' guardsman. He practices with a variety of weapons while not on active duty, and he always watches through the night for possible enemies. Obsidian Vigil takes great pride in his work, and he takes his charge seriously.
