In the wake of the Storm of Chaos, a band of refugees leave the military encampment at Vandengart to make their way out of the war zone. In order to avoid being captured by a mad nobleman at Wolfenburg and returned to the front or executed as deserters, the party decides to strike out toward Talabheim, avoiding the main road by traveling through the Forest of Shadows. They encounter children running through the woods, but before Erwin can speak with them, the party is ambushed by Beastmen. The monsters are slain, and the party continues onward, emerging from the forest into the pasture and farms outside the village of Regensdorf. Though obviously suffering from the ravages of the war, the village is still populated. == Threads == [http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=440550 In-Character Thread] [http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=440200 Out-Of-Character Thread]
