A heavy set of flight goggles borrowed from [[Charles “Charlie” Desgrange|Charlie Degrange]] became the inspiration for this device.  Built by [[Doctor Bermuda]] shortly after the events chronicled in [[The Second Startling Story!|The Hand of the Demon]], the Ocuanalytitron exists to ensure that something so common as darkness would never again diminish the super-ape's brilliance.  Of course, as with most of the Doctor's inventions, the Ocuanalytitron turned out to be a bit more flexible in its uses than originally envisioned.
