Background 

Richard grew up in a small town western Pennsylvania. Nothing especially remarkable about him or his circumstances. He wasn't a great student or athlete, he wasn't a bad kid either. Unsure of what to do after high school, he joined the Army. He ended up a medic, which he was guessed he was OK with. 
His only deployment was to Afghanistan, he mainly worked in an forward aid station, occasionally going on a patrol. Once, after leaving a village, it was attacked. His squad went back and dealt with the enemy, and he did what he could for them afterward. Months later, while contemplating what he saw and did that day, he awakened. The Primal Wild awoke within him not just an understanding of the predator prey dynamic, but how to master it. 
A skilled and confidant combatant, he's willing to give the Arrows a shot, since that Mastigo helped him when he needed it. He knows being a scholar and a warrior aren't mutually exclusive, they just aren't complementary. He gets annoyed when they conflict.
