This doesn't mean that the nations have quit spying or the possibility of conflict between them is passed, it's simply that whoever conquers Galifar will almost certainly have to do it one country at a time as no one wants to risk their present forces with so many potential enemies at the gates.

In the interests of fun, I thought it'd be rather cool to switch campaign themes a little bit in honor of 4th Edition.  With the passing of the Fifth Age, the campaign has switched gears from moving to endless darkness to instead trying to build something long lasting and strong.  Evil may yet destroy the world but the worst of the long night has passed (*shifty* possibly).

'''Aundair''' - Queen Aurala now is absolute monarch of Aundair and has managed to replace many of her former lords with defecting Eldeen Reach chieftains as many were forced to immigrate thanks to Lord Darro's plans.  With a substantially larger kingdom, Aurala is ready to begin waging war again despite the loss of the Arcane Congress.

'''Barren Wastes''' - The former Mournland is no longer subject to the lack of healing quality that existed before but it is still a ridiculously hostile territory.  It's now even moreso as Regent Morenn has taken over the former capital and turned it into her new capital city for the Emerald Claw and Blood of Vol worshipers.  The Lord of Blades has also established the Machine Empire that consists of Machine City and five other smaller communities of warforged.

'''Cyre''' - Cyre now is an independent set of City-States that owns and operates a substantial number of colonies abroad with Q'barra currently underneath its control thanks to its properties being confiscated from Merrix III.

'''Demon Wastes''' - Having been active since the time of Cthulhu, the Demon Wastes are now increasingly populated with massive numbers of mutated goblins and monsters taken from Khyber as the cracks lead to the surface being flooded with the horrors.  Most of Khorvaire fears the Lords of Dust may soon try a full scale invasion.

'''Eldeen Reaches''' - Currently, a divided set of Kingdoms and Chieftainettes that are disunited by the death of Oalian.  The Orcs have managed to seize large portions of the territory and Aundair has taken over much of the North.  It is likely to get worse as time passes.

'''Karrnath''' -  Currently ruled by Queen Haydith, Karrnath is a country that is slowly recovering its former glories.  The majority of the undead hosts were not destroyed but instead fled into the Barren Wastes under Regent Morenn.

'''Lhazaar Principalities'''- Currently, little more than a set of puppet states controlled by the Dragonmarked Hosues.  Lhazaar is a occupied territory filled with intrigue and terroism as the brutal Brelish-Stormreach company exploits it.

'''Shadowfast''' - The Archduchy of Shadowfast, technically is without its current Archduke and consists of a portion of Northern Dargunn and part of Eastern Breland.  Its populous is small but extremely loyal to the concept of the nation established by Cassius Du'Shadowfast.

'''Q'Barra'''- Controlled by King Oargev since the Aurrum assassinated the reigning ruling family and the Four Nations declared him the controlling regent of it (thanks to his deal with the Aurrum and Watchmen).  The populous has so far managed to prove fine with this.
