Cuomac Sunbrother Land Druid 15 The World Tree Campaign Backstory: Cuomac of tribe Sunbrother is a 2 year old Aarakocra. As a child he lived a pretty normal Aarakocran life until his first birthday. The night before Cuomac had horrible visions of burning forests and a huge tree. During the birthday celebration it was obvious that there was something wrong. Cuomac was always a very lively and arrogant individual but kept to himself during the ceremony. Ceremonially, Aarakocra finalize their birth in a burning ceremony. The tribe gathers in a ring around a fire while batting their wings into it and towards the young aarakocra being finalized. The smoke from the ceremonial fire forms patterns on the young Aarakocras wings which determines their place in society. During this ceremony Cuomac had flashbacks to his dreams and with a shout instantly put out all of the flames. In a voice that sounded strange and ethereal he shouted I am natures ally! and the smoke pattern swirled into his wings in the forbidden land shape. A straight line through the wings. The elders met and it was decided that because Cuomac cared so much about the ground, he should reside there himself. Through a ritual cast 3 days later, Cuomac was exiled from the tribe. He spent the next year of his life honing his nature magic and traveling the world, but now he has decided to pursue the world tree. One day, during a regular flight a group of poachers thought he was an eagle from far away and shot a few crossbow bolts at him. One hit his left wing and it hasnt worked the same since. Appearance: Cuomac is a birdman just over five feet tall. his feathers are mostly yellow and beige with red plumage on the top. he wears special armor custom made to fit his wings and a custom backpack as well. he looks pretty much like an eagle while he is flying but when on land he prefers to drape his wings and pack in a huge cloak and cover himself to make his figure pretty unrecognizable. his eyes are beady and black. You notice his wings have a solid black line that you can almost trace from one to the other. There is a flute on a string around his neck that seems to be almost completely carved with druidic runes that you swear occasionally glow with a green light Personality: The first thing you notice is that he is very quick to anger and very arrogant...hes an asshole. However, if you look past that and watch him while he is alone, he is a very caring and compassionate individual especially towards nature. At night if you listen closely you can hear him crying because he misses his home and his people. He has become a vegetarian since his banishment but he doesnt count fish as meat for some reason...the easiest way to bribe him is with fish. Very possessive of his belongings and loves fire. In battle his favorite spell is investiture of fire, he calls himself the banished phoenix while doing this and can sometimes lose his mind. The fire reminds him of the ceremony that changed his life, and he wants his enemies to feel hurt in the same way. Bonds: Cuomac is very confused about his relationship with his parents and the tribe right now. A large part of him hates them because of his banishment as his mother was the leader of the group that summoned an air elemental to chase him away from the village and his father was the deciding vote in his banishment. However, he is only two and though that is the equivalent of a teenager he still misses his home. Hearing that his village wants him back it is very clear that he is often distracted and lost in thought but he knows that his priority is The World Tree.
