The World Tree is a massive campaign built originally for D&D 4e in 2013 by user [[User:Tank7563|Tank7563]].  Now, it is a complete adventure for 5e filled with 14 potential "acts" or modules that make a single cohesive story surrounding the '''[[The World Tree/Ra-Orn|World Tree]]''' and [[The World Tree/Magnus|Magnus']] evil forces.

=Plot Summary=
The World Tree is set within its own campaign setting, but holds true to D&D's setting of planes and race desprictions (with an exception to the Drow, being descendants of the moon). In The World Tree, the adventurers encounter a number of decision points and problems while attempting to locate the World Tree and trying to stop Magnus. As the scenario begins, the players are told that a powerful necromancer named Magnus is attempting to find and destroy the World Tree, effectively destroying all life on the Material Plane.  Player characters must survive the wrath of Magnus, the cannibals from the southern powers, and other dark organizations to save all life in the world.

The module is divided into 16 story arcs (described as acts) and 48 scenes, beginning with a summoning of the characters and ending with the saving of The World Tree, should the players succeed.

=The World and the Planes=
In the World Tree adventure, there are only a few characteristics that are different from the D&D setting.  This concept is to be able to release the Dungeon Master and the players from the exact history of the realm by rewriting it, but allows for other adventures to be involved within the setting.

Originally settled by the Azer, the Shade Lands was paramount in its trade with the Old World, crafting and trading many of the needed weapons and materials to fight with the Great Freeze. As the Azer expanded, large amounts of bronze and electrum were found buried beneath its sands, causing the other natives, the Efreeti, to claim a dynasty over the region and to submit the Azer to mining these goods for their building of the "City of Brass" in the elemental plane of fire. After a failed holy crusade by Demedor of the Old World Crusaders, the Efreeti ruled the Shadelands for over 300 years, mining the bronze beneath its land, until the Azer were nothing but a memory. Their greed, however, blinded them from the others in this world. Fire giants from the Tajzina Mountains invaded from the mountain and claimed the Shadelands by force, banishing the Efreeti to the Plane of Fire. These fire giants ruled for almost five centuries, using the forges of the Efreeti and using their created salamanders as its fuel. It was in this moment, when Kusha seemed hopeless, that Demedor traded with the long forgotten Azer of a way to survive the land and to smite the fire giants from where they came. One by one, the mighty army of Demedor captured each of its cities. It was not until Ar'dabh fell, that the fire giants surrendered and agreed to leave the Shade Lands.

The people are kind but ignorant to the ways of manipulation and corruption, with the Jinchou woods said to hold great evils yet to be banished from their lands. The settlements require their own protection, usually housing monks or priests armed with combat and magic to protect them. This protection, however, is based within ancient studies, easily stopped by modern inventions and tools.
