== Vergolte, The Hunter == ===History=== :Vergolte stalks in the green spaces, particularly in the area around the Elemental Pole of Wood. Vergolte is one of the oldest of the Primal Gods and rarely concerns himself with the plight of mortals. He does however have one group he watches over, the Eastern Tribes. ;Vergolte and Beyeate :Vergolte's love for Beyeate keeps him close to the Eastern Pole, and his hatred of Beyeate keeps his arrow perpetually ready to fire. Vergolte and Beyeate were lovers in the times before Civilisation, when they were mere mortals. Their power grew together, and when it became clear that they were to become Gods, Vergolte chose the path of the Hunter. Beyeate's great betrayal was that she chose to become the Green Mother, goddess of the hunted things, to protect what Vergolte would kill. With such opposing philosophies, they could no longer be together, and yet Vergolte yearns for his lost love. They tried to meet in the beginning, bearing two children together. Now their long conflict has soured too much and they cannot meet without fighting. ===Children=== ;With Beyeate * Leith * Ibrail (deceased) ===Symbols=== :Hunting Birds, Bow and Arrow, Feathers, Clean bones. ===Domain=== :Vergolte is the patron of Archery Back to Thousand Cities Main Page
