The general Terrain of Prythus consists of High Rocky plateaus and bleak Moor lands where some hardy scub plants cling to life. The High winds and acid rain make life on the surface difficult for any life to exist here for extended periods. However beneath this is a vast tunnel network where most of the planets ecosystem lives. The tunnels seem to stretch through out most of the planet and have been extended by mining operations.

The Climate of the planet is within human tolorances excepting the makeup of the atmopshere. Due to the lack of tilt there is little in the way of actual seasons on the planet and the general barran nature means that there is little protection form the near constant high winds (speeds at around 80 kph. Heavy rain is common with storms lasting for several local days.

Each of the Hives is in effect its own nation. They all owe nominal allegiance to the governor but in practice largely run there own affairs.

Prthus's main exports are raw materials especially metals and trace elements needed for the works of the Mechaincus.

==Conflicts==

Constant low level skirmishes between Hive Lords for rights to an area. As long as these conflicts do not adversely affect production then the PDF forces will not interfere.

===Militia===

* Each Hive is expected to have a force to maintain law and order and defend the hive its self from attack. These forces are under the authority of the Hive Lord, but are expected to hand the forces over in case of emergancy to the Planety Governors authority. The level of training and Equipment is purposely kept lower than that of the PDF primarily to stop any ambitions on the part of the Hive Lords.

===Standing Army===
* Huge / Medium/High

* The planet supports a large well equipped PDF that is independent of the Hive Lords. The force is primarily used to stop the squabbles between the Hive Lords from growing to destructive and see regular combat making them a good recruiting ground for the guard.

===Private Army/Armies===
* Huge / Poor/Medium

* Beyond the Hive Milita's each Hive Lord is allowed to raise a private army but these are often poorly lead due to nepotism and ill equipped as the Lord must supply and provision them himself. Despite this all the Hive Lords take advantage of this and maintain large forces.

===Naval Force===
* Massive / Medium/High

* Due to the lack of Orbital Defenses a fairly large Naval Picket in maintained in the Prythus system. As well as this it is on a regular patrol route that often sees ships stop in the system to resupply from the base on Praxis.

===Mercenary Force===
* Huge / Medium

* Due to the nature of blood feuds and constant skirmishing for territory between the Hive Lords there are many Mercenary forces who offer there services to the highest bidder. These find nearly constant employment, the only limitation is they may not fight against the forces of the planetary governor or imperial facilities. They most also accept direct control of the Governor during times of crisis. These forces tend to be better trained and equipped than the Hive Lords forces.
