Editing Torglike

Nb. I will be posting up my conversion notes for a campaign that i hope to kickstart early next year. The setting will be [[Torg]] (updated the '[[Near Now]]' to 2008) and teh system will be ORE (based primarily from [[Wild Talents]], [[Reign]], [[Nemesis]], and anything else i can bastardize).


== General principles ==

[[Torg]] is complicated and there is a lot of dice rolling and charts. This conversion has 4 founding principles
#Reduce rolling in the game, especially in combat (hence adopting the ore system)
#Reduce the tendency for combat to be dictated by a character rolling a massive number that obliterates the foe.
#Reduce the complexity of Torg. Always opt for the simpler solution
#Keep the things that make the Torg system great (e.g. drama deck, disconnection, world laws and axioms), and ditch the rest (e.g. complicated  magic system)
