The Hive States is a region that runs along the Rocky Mountains from Alberta to Sonora. The communities and character of the Hive States region is dominated by the culture and theocracy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Usually referred to as simply the Church.) While the Church is still officially a global organization, it is now more focused on the development of Hive States communities than proselyting and organizing an international religious movement. The permanent settling of hispanic agricultural workers and the Church's system of cooperative businesses has made this region remarkably stable.
