Hunters in Ubantu have successfully domesticated the cheetah, which was never accomplished on Earth. Even though cheetahs train well and tolerate humans, the Earthly species never breed in captivity. The Ubantu domestic cheetah, called "dumaswa" is much hardier. They are favored by hunters in the Marapori and also as status symbols in the cities. Dumaswa come in striped, mottled and solid black morphs. The agouti color morph (that of the wild cheetah) is the totem of the Duma Clan in Ukoka, and is thus not used as a domesticate.
