==The Sky-King Aeolius Qetzlcatl== Master of the Freehold
Courtier (Diplomat/Entertainer)
The Sky-King crafted the Freehold with his bare hands, gathering his allies from across the Wyld to make a haven for their internal politics. He conquered the sky islands and shaped them into a paradise for dramatics, expressions of creativity, individuality, and epic tales. He sacrificed allies and made great enemies in rival courts, but he has weathered a thousand years of dangerous rule. He is wise, charismatic, mischievous, a deft manipulator and a fierce shaper. ==The Blue Queen, Sujarvera== Pride of the Freehold
Luminary (Entertainer/Diplomat)
A beautiful ice-flower, Sujarvera is a cunning schemer. She loves Aeolius only in so far as he continues to be her greatest challenge. She puts everything she can into overthrowing him, betraying him, flaunting her dalliances and finding ways to be personally cruel to him. She is casually contemptuous to all but herself and her husband, everyone else is just a pawn in their long game. She is forgiven all of her crimes, inevitably, for she is the most beautiful creature in The Wyld (by her own, and many within the Freehold's, estimation). ==The Unquestioned One, The Pope of Chaos== Vizier of the Freehold
Imperial Raksha (Diplomat/Warrior)
Self-proclaimed high priest of the Church of Balor, The Unquestioned One enforces a medieval religious hegemony among the Commoners, and actively preaches its faith in the absolute eradication of Creation to the Nobility. Genderless, mysterious, The Pope of Chaos follows many taboos and keeps much of its nature deliberately vague. Nonetheless, he is a spider in a web of faith, loyalty and lies that hold the entire Freehold in his grip. ==The Lady Wormwood, The Falling Key-Star== General of the Freehold
Cataphract (Warrior/Worker)
A burning red sigil in the sky signaling the end of the world, Lady Wormwood is a paladin in the religion of the Church of Balor. Nominally loyal to The Unquestioned One, the Lady gathers her army for a so-called "Second Balorian Crusade" sometime in the near future. In truth, she much prefers to enjoy her leisure, indulging in violent and lustful appetites with purchased Thralls and challenge visiting and resident Nobles to Shaping duels. Preparing and showing off is much more satisfying to her sensibilities than an actual campaign of annihilation. ==Fujin, Sage of Winds== Keeper of the Freehold
Artisan (Worker/Entertainer)
A mystic, a monk, a shaman, a visionary, a madman, a champion, a storyteller, a trickster, the Sage of Winds who goes by the name Fujin is many things, depending on the moment and the direction of the wind. Fujin opposes the Church of Balor, spreading riddles that incite heresy, uprisings and reformations. A long time advisor of the Aeolius Qetzlcatl, Fujin is said to be the only person in the world the Sky King trusts. Oaths binding them together are the backbone of the Freehold.
