The elation of sucking out the man's heartblood had gone, she still felt funny, and she wasn't certain why. When she got home, there was a lot of reading to be done. But for now. . .well, now she had to suffer the penance of riding with someone who just plain wasn't pleasant. Frowning again, she turned to the window to watch the scenery go by.
