Koji Akihabara was raised to be a weapon. He was the son of Yakuza assassins and that was to be his lot in life. He never questioned his destiny and acquiesced to every procedure that his father and his oyabun asked him to undertake. After years of painful bioware enhancement he is stronger, faster, and more deadly than most men could ever imagine. More importantly he is able to pass through cyberware sniffers without any chance that they will go off. Koji has killed people on three continents for the Sumiyoshi-rengo and has yet to dishonor himself or his family by failing to terminate his target.

Only lately, since his arrival in Seattle, has Koji begun to consider his role in the way of the world; to seek his own way through the study of Zen gardening. He currently conceptualizes his role in the world as that of the shears that trim bonsai into their perfected forms. He has begun to question whether his masters really respect the greater design of the universe in their decisions, but he continues to fulfill his purpose.
