This is the Talk page for messages to the Wiki user Wikijeff. == Advice on Wisrtum == OK, I've been looking over what you've got so far, and also asked ShannonA to look it over. What there is of it looks good, and this is really just the type of project that'd be good for the Wiki--one where a lot of people can contribute a little. Here's a few ideas from me: *For big pages, you might consider writing the text in a word processor so that it can do the spell-checking (and possibly the grammar checking) before moving it over. *Main Menu: I'd put 'Fan Fiction' later, since you really need to establish the world before putting stories in it. *You can save yourself a ''lot'' of trouble by creating a Category:Wisrtum page, and letting the Wiki's indexing facility do its thing. (You should also probably just have one level on indexing until & unless the project gets ''huge''.) * In general: ''keep it simple'', at least in the beginning. Concentrate on the content and worry about the formatting later. Good luck! --[[User:Knockwood|Lord Knockwood the Mad]] 19:46, 4 July 2006 (PDT) PS: Almost forgot... the image ''in'' the poster isn't mine, it was a 'challenge' in the RPG Motivational Posters thread. I supplied the caption, tho. == fixed category links! == Got it... as it turns out, if you want to ''link'' to a Category page, you need to put a colon in front of it: <code><nowiki>[[:Categories:Wisrtum]]</nowiki></CODE> Also note that the Wiki uses square brackets, but braces seem to work as well. Don't forget to put in something appropriate on the top of the Index page. --Kwd PS: Also, you can put a pipe in the Category tag to move the page elsewhere in the Index: <CODE><nowiki>[[Category:Wisrtum|Religions]]</nowiki></CODE> That way you don't have everything under W. == Re: the change in the Wiki... == As it turns out, that color change was when ShannonA ''upgraded'' the Wiki--details in the Wiki forum on RPG.net. I don't ''think'' changing the template will "break" your stuff, that's the reason why Templates are there in the first place. Good luck... --[[User:Knockwood|Lord Knockwood the Mad]] 23:14, 6 July 2006 (PDT)
