Arvini was born to a Hagin caste guard serving in the royal palace, and trained as a warrior, but she didn't take to the restrictions of the rigid Lar'tyan caste system. 


As she entered womanhood, she was often found in salons, bars, and houses of ill repute, chatting up any young, attractive person who happened to catch her eye, regardless of caste or gender. The final straw came when she was found in a compromising position with a young Lar caste woman in the temple of Maurenna. 


Refusing to accept psychic treatment, she chose exile instead, ending up on a pirate ship... which wasn't so bad. After all, aren't there lots of plays and stories about the adventures of pirates? Better start working on her speech patterns so that her voice sounds right. "Arrr, me hearties!"
