Editing When the King Comes Knocking:Spellcrystal

In Forgehome, Kristoph found a merchant dealing in many strange curios.  He purchased a crystal designed to hold thought-patterns, and useful for storing rituals or arcane spells.  However, Kristoph is not very learned, and he simply uses it as a journal instead.  He hopes that when he rescues Mistress Tatiana she will care enough about his trials and travails in rescuing her that she would deign to know his recorded thoughts, and see moments of frozen time that he has preserved in it.  Perhaps she would even praise him for his bravery and fortitude, his loyalty to her in the face of endless darkness and unimaginable terrors.

The idea that she might examine his journey and tell him that she is pleased with him, that he lived up to her expectations, is his fondest dream.  It's the fire in his heart that keeps burning, even when it seems that the darkness all around must surely consume him.
