==Wonderland: A game for Prime Time Adventures==

This is the main page for an RPG.net Play By Post (PBP) game of '''Prime Time Adventures''' set in the '''JAGS Wonderland''' setting. It's purpose is to record and organize the information created by and pertaining to that game, such as character information, setting additions and NPCs.

==Setting==

Our game is set in the present time, May 2007, in the city of Detroit, Michigan, USA. There are three players, Witamous, Torawashi, and Wind, and one producer, myself. We are, more or less, using the standard JAGS Wonderland setting, including the Book of Knots. I will be adding to the setting at my discretion and recording the additions here as the players encoutner them.


The primary tenets of the show are: 

*Violence is almost always messy and scarring.

*Humour should be incidental as opposed to directally coming from a character. Exception for characters that are jokers.

*Wonderland is surreal, terrible, wonderful, larger-than-life, and always dangerous, even when it is not outright hostile.

*Living in Wonderland is dangerous, but it gradually makes you surreal, terrible, wonderful, and larger-than-life, if you. survive long enough

*"Reality," e.g., chess board zero, is slow, difficult, and frustrating, but safe as long as you conform.

*There is mental disonance between being, and as a matter of survival needing to be, this larger-than-life person and then being shoe-horned back into your normal life on chessboard zero.

Daniel always wanted to be a doctor and rescue people and after medical school joined Doctors without Borders. In many places he talked to and even worked with witch doctors, he kept an open mind and heard a lot of stories, but attributed most of what happend to his skill.
Something he could not quite understand, so he still keeps an open mind to impossible things (unfortunately).

'''Ursula Hayes''' - Daniels girlfriend is a laywer with the DA, both of them have a hectic live but they manage to maintain a relationship, at least they share a flat and manage to meet each other occasionally, even though the both work a lot.

Barry was badly abused as a child. This brought about severe issues of self-worth. He could never hold a steady job or go to school for more than a few weeks before he would deem himself unworthy. In his early twenties he began to have what the doctors called paranoid delusions. The chessmen were always after him, he would rave, "beware the knight to rook B4 to B8!" He was taken to a mental health hospital and medicated for schizophrenia. As soon as the pills started to kick in, the voices and visions went away. Barry Tried to make what he could of his self-deemed worthless life, taking to the streets.

'''Personal Set:''' The public transportation bus shelter - For an unknown reason the nexus of his visions. Whenever he sits upon the stained thrice-painted bench the world seems insubstantial and permeable. Even fully medicated the metal and plexiglass refuge seems to grant him nebulous portents.

He's since been...adrift, for lack of a better word, and has been unable to attach himself to anything since. Jobs, relationships, even musical inspiration is getting harder and harder to come by.

'''Musician''' - Even if he's no longer making his living at it, he can still play. Guitar is his instrument of choice, and he's got a good, solid voice.

'''Charlie Hopkins''' - Ray's best friend and owner of the music store Ray manages. Charlie did tech work for a lot of the bands Ray played in back in the old days, but eventually went to college and became quite successful as an accountant. The music store is a side business for him.

'''Personal Set:''' Old Time Rock N' Roll, the music store Ray helps run. It's a tiny place, focusing mainly on the collector's market. Ray's the only full time employee there aside from Charlie (who mostly sticks with paperwork), though there are one or two high school kids who help out.
