Not that he doesn't like people, or means them ill, but his mouth often runs faster than his brain. He's gotten a lot of practice over the years at both making people mad and calming them back down. Like the time he let slip his suspicions that the daughter of one of the local mayors was sleeping with the blacksmith. He's honed this skill somewhat, and now he prefers to let barbed or honeyed words carry him through trouble, rather than a strong sword arm.
