=RACE Traits=

* Humanoid (Gnome)
*  Small: As a Small creature, you gain a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –4 size penalty on special attack (bull rushes, grapples, overruns, and trips) checks, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but you use small weapons and armor, and your lifting and carrying limits are three-quarters of those of a Medium character. 
* Gnome [[Yagura:SRD:Base Land Speed|base land speed]] is 20 feet.
* [[SRD:Low-Light Vision|Low-Light Vision]]: A rock gnome can see twice as far as a [[SRD:Humans (Race)|human]] in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
* Weapon Familiarity: Rock gnomes may treat [[SRD:Gnome Hooked Hammer|gnome hooked hammer]]s as martial weapons rather than exotic weapons.
* +2 racial bonus on [[SRD:Saving Throw|saving throws]] against [[SRD:Illusion School|illusions]].
* Add +1 to the [[SRD:DC|Difficulty Class]] for all [[SRD:Saving Throw|saving throws]] against [[SRD:Illusion School|illusion spells]] cast by rock gnomes. This adjustment stacks with those from similar effects.
* +1 racial bonus on [[SRD:Attack Roll|attack rolls]] against [[SRD:Kobold|kobold]]s and [[SRD:Goblinoid Subtype|goblinoids]].
* +4 dodge bonus to [[SRD:Armor Class|Armor Class]] against monsters of the [[SRD:Giant Type|giant]] type. Any time a creature loses its [[SRD:Dexterity|Dexterity]] bonus (if any) to [[SRD:Armor Class|Armor Class]], such as when it’s caught [[SRD:Flat-Footed|flat-footed]], it loses its dodge bonus, too.
* +2 racial bonus on [[SRD:Listen Skill|Listen]] checks.
* +2 racial bonus on [[SRD:Craft Skill|Craft]] (alchemy) checks.
* [[SRD:Automatic Language|Automatic Languages]]: Common and Gnome. 
* [[SRD:Bonus Language|Bonus Languages]]: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, [[SRD:Giant Type|Giant]], Goblin, and Orc. In addition, a rock gnome can speak with a burrowing mammal (a [[SRD:Badger|badger]], fox, rabbit, or the like, see below). This ability is innate to rock gnomes.
