The Hopewell Foundation is looking for a thorough and discreet candidate to serve as its Senior Counsel. The Counselor will advise the Foundation's administrative staff on legal matters and threats of future litigation; manage, direct and participate in assigned litigation and be involved, as necessary, in internal investigations. A JD and at least six years of legal experience, including substantial litigation, counseling and courtroom experience, are required. The Senior Counsel is the Foundation's chief legal representative.  He is chiefly responsible for advising the administrative staff on legal matters and threats of future litigation, as well as ensuring the proper legal framework for the Foundation's activities through filing of legal paperwork and briefs.  On instruction by the Executive Director, he is also responsible for representing the Foundation in litigation.  While he is not engaged to represent Survivors directly, he is responsible for advising the legal teams of any Survivor clients of the Foundation on pertinent laws, as the situation demands.  Finally, and as necessary, he should participate in any needed internal investigations. Senior Counsel
The Senior Counsel is the Foundation's chief legal representative. He is chiefly responsible for advising the administrative staff on legal matters and threats of future litigation, as well as ensuring the proper legal framework for the Foundation's activities through filing of legal paperwork and briefs. On instruction by the Executive Director, he is also responsible for representing the Foundation in litigation. While he is not engaged to represent Survivors directly, he is responsible for advising the legal teams of any Survivor clients of the Foundation on pertinent laws, as the situation demands. Finally, and as necessary, he should participate in any needed internal investigations. To accomplish all of these tasks, he manages a team of two paralegals.
