Sophie Caligari

Appearance and Mannerisms

Sophie is 23, tall and slender, wears glasses. Intelligent but quiet, she tends to focus on her work in the Engineering decks. While she does have the standard Mechanicus implants, Sophie refuses to use external cybernetics of less than good quality for cosmetic reasons, a woman should maintain her beauty after all.

Background

Born on Forge World Perinetus, Sophie was quickly brought into the Adeptus Mechanicus, showing astonishing skill at conversing with machine spirits and maintaining machinery. Quickly gaining the recognition of her superiors. Sophie has never particularly cared for other people, more comfortable conversing with a Machine Spirit than with other tech-priests. A Free Thinker, Sophie desired to see and do things most would never dream of, Sophie used her influence to gain entrance into the ranks of the Explorators. For a time she essentially hitchhiked on any vessel, trading work for passage, this turned against her when an incompetent captain, decided to her of sabotage after a series of mechanical failures caused by poor maintenance, jettisoning her in a saviour pod. Against all odds Sophie was rescues by the Rogue Trader's Vessel before supplies were exhausted. She negotiated herself a job in engineering, once again proving exceptional at her work. As he recognizes her talent, and she takes great pride in her skill, she is fiercely loyal to her new employer.
