They have a subtle strength, malleable forms, adaptive camouflage, and an almost borderline tendency to toward both serenity and aggression.

Xeno-veterinary Tranq Hypo Sometimes you just need em to stop squirming to do em any good. Your dose-adjustable hypo can knock out just about anything if you can get close enough.

Wavy Gravy You got a friend in low places. Lower. There you go . . . Wavy is a squirrelly old mole and a member of Hands' family collective ship with a lifelong reliance on mind altering substances under his belt. The old mole taught him much of what he knows about coding and programming and even more about philosophy and life.

Hands grew up in a collective on a repurposed Russian mining vessel, touring a circuit of the Sol system, stopping here and there to trade and take odd jobs before moving on. Their circuit was timed so that they met up with the travelling school of aquatic spacefarers at least twice a standard year. They also made a point to trade with the hyena scavengers.
Eventually, Hands grew tired of the collective and took his skills in medicine and technology and moved on.
