Like characters, the ship earns experience that can be spent on advancements. Ships earn 1 xp per job. Players are permitted to donate character experience to ship advancement spends.
Ship advancement may require more fictional support than character advancement due to the labor and materials required to justify upgrades.
Tier 0[edit]
Tier 0 changes will be considered on a case by case basis, but so much of the ship's starting configuration is preset that there are very few player choices to switch up.
Tier 1[edit]
- Add an unranked Module to the ship: 1 Experience Athens Class can hold a maximum of 20 Modules, ranked or otherwise.
- Add a Knack to any or higher ranked Module: 1 Experience
Tier 2[edit]
- Step up an unranked Module to 2 Experience
- Step up a Knack by one die type: 2 Experience Knacks cannot be rated higher than the module they are attached to.
