Steady Hands: d8 Despite their cybernetic nature, your hands and arms look perfectly normal, perfectly organic, perfectly . . . human. They don't flinch or shake, and they don't hesitate. No matter what is going on around you, your hands know what they are about.

Datalink Implant: d8 You have a cortical implant that lets you connect to wireless systems.

Master Mechanic's Tool Kit: d6 You have a compact set of universally useful tools. Everything a growing girl stuck in a cramped, dark boiler room needs.

Background/Bio

To listen to her prata and peep her skryt, most folk tend to assume Mac is new city Mariehamn, sprung from the streets with gutterstain and plascrete in her DNA, but it's none of it true. She's old city pedigree born to parents in academia and the privilege of old money and status.

She knows the expectations and etiquettes of proper society. She won't use them. But she knows them.

The attack on the school had been so old world America, but it had happened. It had happened here. And she had lost everything. Friends. Her parents.

Her hands.

The social system was good, but no one really wanted to take in a burden of a girl, and she inevitably slipped through the cracks. If not for Cutty, a disgraced cybersurgeon stripped of his license and living on the streets of new city, things might have ended badly for her.

Instead a whole new world opened up - a world where the liabilities of her life had the potential to become assets.

She learned computers and machines, building and fixing them as easy as breathing.

She would come to understand Cutty and the other familiar adults that drifted in and out of her life were criminals, but by then they were also family, and the real criminals were the ones despoiling the world around her for profit.
