Halfling is a valid choice. Goblin, Hobgoblin, and Ogre are decent 'enemy languages' to know. I will be going with the "no Orcs" element of Dragonlance, even though that isn't laid out in DL1; characters who start of speaking Orc (i.e., elves) may substitue another language.

Languages[edit]

At this point, I don't want to bore anyone with a laundry list of the minor house rules that I use. One that might be pertinent to chargen is that I do not use alignment languages. Feel free to substitute another language for your alignment langauge.

Here are the languages that are commonly spoken by PCs, as presented in this module, which I will be using:

-Common (also the native tongue of civilized humans) -Plainsman (the native tongue of the barbarian/nomadic humans in this area) -Qualinesti Elven -Hill Dwarf
