Iris

Iris is a character in Kaiju Hunters of Siberia, played by MrPrim.

Profile[edit]

Age: 16

Height: 5'1"

Weight: 96 lbs.

Hair: White

Eyes: Green

Statistics[edit]

Physical Stress: 4

Mental Stress: 3

Refresh: 3

Background[edit]

White-haired and green-eyed, Iris Bojka stands out amongst the other hunters. Seemingly an orphan, Iris remembers nothing of he life before arriving at base. Her only artifacts of a previous life are a nametag with her picture and name, written in Cyrillic, and the Atlas hands she was discovered wearing in the dead winter snow. Iris seems aloof to her peers, detached and unemotional.

Aspects[edit]

High Concept: Mysterious Kaiju-fighting Prodigy[edit]

Iris is one of the most successful kaiju hunters of her generation, her missions having wracked up more victories than any of her colleagues. Though she pretends towards emotionlessness, she is becoming more and more confident in her own abilities with each victory -- perhaps too confidant.

Trouble: Terrible Hidden Origins[edit]

Iris's memory prior to coming to the academy is a blank slate. Her origins and the origin of her weapons, the Atlas Arms, are completely hidden to her. What sorts of things from her past might come to haunt her? Which images from her nightmares are more than just dreams?

First Adventure: The First Day of School[edit]

Aspect: Ice Queen

Where the Girl who Came in From the Cold has trouble acclimating to a warmer clime.

Crossing Paths: Rashomonster[edit]

Aspect: Direct to the Point of Recklessness

Where Elspeth and Iris both give presentations where they claim credit for defeating the beast Bukavac.

Crossing Paths Again: High Maintenance[edit]

Aspect: A Strange Connection Between Girl and Machine

When the Atlas Hands break and begin radiating dangerous energy, Iris begins suffering bizarre hallucinations, personality shifts, and physical symptoms. Can Valerie repair Iris's weapons in time, or will the strange connection between the Hands and their wielder be the end of Iris? (It won't)

Skills[edit]

Great (+4) Fight

Average (+1) Athletics Provoke Stealth Survival

The Atlas Hands[edit]

The Atlas Hands

The Atlas Hands are even more of an enigma than Iris. Enormous adamantine gauntlets crafted with odd foreign science, the Atlas Hands harness the power of the planet's magnetic field to generate spectacular abilities. In addition to being able to generate static electricity (for power-usage or to generate lightning-like blasts), the strange science of the Atlas Hands can twist gravity, granting Iris seeming super strength, or allowing her to levitate as if weightless. For unknown reasons, only Iris is able to activate the strange powers of the gaunlets.

Aspect: Scientifically Implausible Strength[edit]

Users attuned to the Atlas Hands are able to generate unbelievable amounts of force through a combination of sheer mechanics and electrogravitics. It is inadvisable to arm wrestle anything less durable than a forklift.

Stunt: Schwarzschild Thrust Charge[edit]

With the spacetime warping power of the Atlas Arms, a wielder can make unbelievable leaps and charges that border on flight. Instead of Athletics, you can use Physique to Overcome obstacles that involve leaping, moving, or otherwise travelling.

Stunts[edit]

Crack the Shell[edit]

When making a Fight attack, Iris can spend a Fate Point and declare a specific condition she wants to inflict representing a weak point created by the attack. If the attack is successful, the condition is inflicted.

Impenetrable Adamantine Shield[edit]

Iris can use Fight to Defend against any physical attack.

Kaijudo[edit]

When using Physique to create an advantage via grappling/wrestling/throwing or otherwise physically manhandling enemies, Iris gains a +2 to her roll.
