The National Crime Information Center has nothing on a Montgomery Greene, but other background checking resources turn up something useful. There was a Montgomery Greene from Columbus, Ohio who retired from the Marines in 1933 and went to work for Hunt Electrodynamics that same year. He moved to Hellbend, California in 1940 and worked at the Hunt Electrodynamics Plant there until 1952.
