Dr. Aeneas Markos once had a relatively normal life as a college professor. After the abduction of his brother by other-worldly beings, he threw himself into the study of the occult, hoping to recover his sibling by combining his expertise in physics with his new-found knowledge of the Mysterious. As a result of an experiment gone horribly wrong, he was transformed by strange newly discovered para-dimensional energies known as "omicron rays."
