Every background ability that is common to society can be considered a common skill, and as such is treated as a base 0 for skill checks. Additionally, it should be assumed that all common adventuring related skills are common skills for player characters. A partial list of common skills consists of things such as Perception, Riding, Tracking, Stealth, Survival, Climbing, Dungeonering, and any other check that a person in good physical condition and experience in the wilds and hostile environments would have developed should be reasonably expected to have. |
